How did BEEA get started?

The story of BEEA Design began in 2017.

After many stages of work, we originally created a women’s clothing collection designed to also fit curvy and pregnant women. We have drafted patterns, modified designs, sourced Finnish materials, tested, trialed, and refined the collection to bring the initial drawer sketches to life. Nowadays, our collection also includes high-quality, extremely comfortable clothing for men.

Along the way

Our company has grown and evolved over the years. A few years ago, when one of the founding members moved on to new challenges, it was time to consider BEEA’s future. It quickly became clear that BEEA’s story would continue. Salla’s daughter, Salli, had long been involved behind the scenes and wanted to join in creating the dream of ultra-comfortable Finnish-made clothing.
Since 2021, BEEA has become a family business. We still work with our trusted long-term partners and have also added new family members to the team.
There have been many phases along the way, but the core idea remains unchanged. We still want to create versatile, high-quality, and stylish Finnish clothing. We also want to contribute to restoring Finnish textile culture to its rightful place.
Step by step toward the unknown, meeting new partners, encountering wonderful people, with imagination as the only limit.

Our mission is to offer as many people as possible ultra-comfortable, high-quality, and timelessly stylish clothing that stands the test of time. That’s why we design and manufacture products in a way to ensure that every customer feels confident and comfortable in BEEA clothing!

Materials and production

We design and manufacture garments in our own sewing workshop in the Central Ostrobothnia region. We primarily use Finnish materials whenever possible. Our main materials are 100% merino wool, COOLMAX, and stretch college fabric. You can read more about our materials in the Materials and Care Instructions section.
Our collection includes the BEEA X Minna L. Immonen line. Patterns, models, and materials vary in this collection.
All of our knits and fabrics are made in Finland. COOLMAX and stretch college were developed specifically in the knitting mill to meet BEEA’s needs, making these garments truly unique! The BEEA X Minna L. Immonen materials are sourced from Europe, with patterns printed in Finland using digital printing technology.

Salla Linna
Pattern maker / Seamstress, Founder of BEEA Design

Salla is a healthcare professional by training, a life-loving, down-to-earth wife and mother of a large family. Sewing has always been a part of her life, and drafting and creating garments is one of her greatest talents.
Salla’s craftsmanship is a cornerstone of BEEA Design’s existence. Every creation she works with contains a touch of her laughter, love and authenticity.

Salli is pursuing a degree in financial administration and has been involved with the company from the beginning. She has strong experience in social media and is a genuine warm-hearted person.
She loves to spend her free time in nature, reading books, or listening to them at 1.5x speed.
